You can't just pic a few Moore and Muzzin plays as evidence that the Leafs aren't soft - they're the exception that proves the rule... You can throw Captain Highman in there too

How sad you keep plays that show a couple of Leafs playing hockey not pond shinny like the rest of the team. However it must be a small list of those plays.

You do realize the Leafs are in the same position series wise as the Jets? And against arguably a "tougher" team in the Bruins versus the Blues. Your trolling is what's sad here.

The team's looked decent so far in 4 games. We really knew it would come down to a best of three. So far I like our chances.

- Kadri's out, and at least Nylander isn't a disaster at centre. Having him play near the boards isn't good for a blonde-haired stick of table butter.

- Andersen's been sharp. As long as he keeps this up we're gonna be in this.

- Matthews must be happy to have banked a few and get his confidence up.

- Defence hasn't been a total disaster. A couple things here and there might need to tighten up but really not big complaints.

It's just good ol' fashioned playoff hockey. We need a big response though. I don't like this going home for game 6 and needing to tie it up. Let's win it at home and earn a couple days' rest.

Even Nylander has been more physical than in the regular season. I haven't seen any big hits, but in the defensive end I've seen him use his body along the boards to out-muscle Bruins, steal the puck, and start a play. He's not a hitting machine, but at least in the defensive end, he hasn't been "soft" either.

People just assume he still is because it's what they've come to accept and believe and so they somehow ignore/don't see the good plays like this.

Matthews is much more guilty of this than Nylander in this series so far. I've seen a couple of times where he was watching rather than helping in the corners or along the boards while a teammate was getting double teamed, like, wtf dude?
